Our take
This adjustable set gives me a full 50 lb pair without taking up space for multiple dumbbells. The cast iron plates feel solid, and the rust-resistant coating is a plus for humid basements. The collars screw on tightly, though switching weights takes a few minutes. The handles have a decent grip, not too slick. At this price, it's a serious investment, but cheaper than buying a full rack of fixed dumbbells. The only downsides are the initial assembly and the fact that the plates can be noisy if you drop them. Also, the maximum weight per handle is around 25 lbs, which may be limiting for heavy leg work. But for most upper body exercises, this set is fantastic. Easy to store and versatile.
